Very shortly after her exciting news, it was Kendra's birthday! The actual day was fairly low-key, since Kendra knew she would be rushing off to indoor drumline. She said she'd prefer I cook her a favorite meal when she'd have more time to savor it. But we still managed to find time to eat Oreo brownies with awesome dinosaur candles that Kendra picked out at the grocery store!
And she got to open a couple presents, from us and from Aunt Natalie!

And then on Friday we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa! Kendra wanted dinner from a restaurant called
Luce where they only have takeaway food, and specialize in homemade pasta. It was
delicious-- good choice, Kendra! And then she and I (and Camille-- it was a girls' trip!) got dessert from Insomnia Cookies near UVA.
