Christmas 2020

It seemed like before we knew it, it was Christmas Eve and we were busy wrapping last-minute presents and making pies and all that good Christmas prep stuff!  I felt like we'd been watching Christmas movies all month long, but there were still so many to see (and I sort of wanted to watch Elf and Home Alone again)!!!  And, this year, I could NOT get enough of Pentatonix and Michael Bublé's Christmas music.  It was so fun and happy!

We did all our usual Christmas Eve traditions: pizza, reading Luke 2, singing Christmas songs and hymns (we made the kids accompany us some-- that was... exciting...).  It was cold and rainy all day, so we did NOT drive around and look at the lights.  Next year!  And then we opened our Christmas jammies from my parents:

This year's batch was a big hit!

Gotta love one final reading of The Grinch on Christmas Eve (along with "The Night Before Christmas," of course!)

Yay, Santa came!

Anticipation...

Chaaaaaaaaarge!!!!!!

Kendra got about 30 pairs of individually wrapped earrings, so she spent quite a bit of time unwrapping them all!

Ryder's monster slippers were a HUGE hit!

Bentley was excited to get some Dream swag

And Camille was just excited about EVERYTHING

Camille had been DYING for this huge unicorn and she nearly hyperventilated when she finally opened it (we'd hidden that present in the basement, so it wasn't immediately obvious).  She proceeded to carry it around with her all day long, even though it's bigger than she is!

They wanted CC shirts since that's what they call themselves!

Colton received a Shutterfly book made from his own book, so now he figures he's an author!

See?  I wasn't exaggerating!

It was a lovely day and everyone seemed extremely happy with their presents!  Once we were done opening, Craig got to work on his turkey and I got my ham in the crock pot.  Dinner was great and everyone enjoyed playing with their presents and watching Christmas movies for the rest of the day.

The next day, I stayed in my pajamas all day and didn't cook a thing.  And that was pretty marvelous, too!
