Ha!

It turns out that I'm not the only one! At least, "I'm not the only one" who really hates the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. That blog post was ages ago, but someone else just said so here, too. It's always so nice to have my opinions validated!

So...I'm not the hugest fan of that song, but I'm not opposed to it, either. I once had a guest speaker in one of my classes at BYU play it and then ask what we thought. A few students liked it, a few felt the way you did. I like to think his lyrics don't reflect the point he's trying to make and aim more for thoughts of the thousand years of peace when I hear the song. That's what I was trying to do (make semi-dumb lyrics into at least semi-uplifting thoughts) when our guest speaker commanded us to never listen to that song again because it was nothing more than communist propaganda. Now when I hear it, I mostly think about open rebellion against those strict orders which I'm pretty sure I didn't agree with despite the fact that the lyrics are wacky.

Oh, did you know I agree with you too? And I'm pretty you can add Luke to the list as well.

Once when I was in jr high, and Luke was home for a break, that song came on the radio. I thought it was pretty but wasn't too sure about the lyrics, but Luke IMMEDIATELY announced "Ugh! That song is so liberal!" and changed the station. And that was that!

And isn't it great finding blogs that agree with you?

Both Steve and I don't like it. You can ask me at church for Steve's opinion on it.

That's fun, who's blog is that? Someone you know or just one that you found and liked? Just curious. :0)
